Morselette
Sorry I haven't posted anything lately. I've been in the hospital the last three days and might be here another three before I'm discharged. There's nothing like hospital food to make one miss good home cooking! Since it will be next week before I post again, I thought I'd have an open forum morselette. Feel free to post comments, questions or tell eveyone what you put in your chicken salad or grits. Any food related topic is welcome. I look forward to posting a new morsel next week.

Nurses like coconut cake!!! ;0). I need a fabulous recipe!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the suggestion, Anonymous!!!! I've got a great recipe for Coconut Cake that I haven't made in ages. The cake is made in a 9 x 13-inch pan and has a wonderful coconut icing. It's different from a lot of Coconut Cake recipes because the icing doesn't use cream cheese or powdered sugar. I don't have all the ingredients, but I'll get them when I go to the grocery this weekend. It may take a few days, but keep checking back for the pictures and recipe. In the meantime, does anyone have a Coconut Cake recipe to share with Anonymous?
ReplyDeleteIt has been a long time since I made this cake! I just looked at the recipe and the icing does use powdered sugar, but it's not like a buttercream or cream cheese frosting. I can't really describe it, but a picture's worth a thousand words so stay tuned.....
